  1. People are here because they like dirty jobs, No one except you actually gives a **** how to hot tar a roof.

  2. toonice686 i’m sorry, but no one really cares how you hot tar a roof. and yes the video is slightly off.

  3. the audio is out of sync …

  4. check out my roofing videos
you’ll see how real hot tar is done

  5. check out my roofing videos
you’ll see how real hot tar is done

  6. check out my roofing videos
you’ll see how real hot tar is done

  7. Thought YouTube had 10 minute video time limit… Why didn’t you show the ENTIRE SHOW INCLUDING the segment on house moving??? Short clip of that segment looked at least AS, if not MORE worth watching than the Hot Tar Roofing segment…

  8. the voices are off!!

  9. Well good luck to you and your family mate, hope things pick up for you.

  10. Yeah I quit due to lack of work(economy) …. But the pay is great Journey’s make 32+ a hour plus Bennies . So if you want to make 30-40k and take 3 Months off a year …. The best part time job in my opinion . Just takes awhile to become a Journey and I have ppl to feed ..

  11. Hope you guys get paid well for this. Dirty and dangerous.

  12. they give osha a reason to live

  13. nice to see a fellow roofer who knows the ropes.

  14. And most companies now have huge tankers that melts tar so you don’t have to chop kegs… And even if you have to get a start in the morning while the tar is still hard … Us roofers got it hard , think smarter not harder. And the company I work for isn’t all that advanced . Whats this filmed 15+ years ago LOL

  15. hahah no fall protection or saftey monitor either, its not 6 or 7 layers its a 4 ply built up roof, not to mention you aren’t supposed to re-use insulation,no one brooming in the plies either. mike rowe is a smart man but some of the tradesmen on his show don’t know much. im sure no one cares unless you are a roofer but common.

  16. Nice face shield. What no citrus spray ? Wait now that I’m thinking about it no cutter , gravely , any safety equipment . OSHA would find the crap out of these guys . And from what I know is that OSHA is strict in CA

  17. “Intrasacies” LOL Busted for being a grammatical genius on national TV.

  18. what the hell using pitch forkes to tear off a roof ????? what ever happend to a cutter and cutting it up in squares and tearing off gravel and roof in one… and being such a big outfit where were the saftey railings and all that crap

  19. In 14:48 to 14:50, Mike complained that the burning tar burned through his gloves. If the hot tar would have done that, Mikey would have said far more than “Oh crap..”. I like hot tar roofing also, but asphalt paving is a tad better. In roofing they want a guy to work like Speedy Gonzalas in 30 above weather. Sure they say that they don’t work when the temperature gets to 30 above 0. Yeah right. I **** those tar kegs. Melt packs are better. Then again, a tanker is far better than a kettle.

  20. In 13:50 to 13:55 the foreman is losing it with Mike Rowe.

  21. Three words, nine one one

  22. Awsome show!!!!!!!!!

  23. four letters, OSHA!
