  1. So, what is the point of felt or ice and water shield if you don’t use it halfway up the roof? You aren’t even nailing it according to the manufacture. You are supposed to nail it below the tar line. Look at the wrapper. You just made this a non-warranted roof by the manufacturer. You think that speed counts in the long run? I love roofers like you. Keeps the repair side of my company very busy. To everyone else, the only time 6 nails are needed is in hurricane areas or a steep pitched.

  2. 6 nails 6666666666666666666666666666666

  3. The real roofers in this country come from the fuckin NORTHEAST NOT THESE SOUTHERN OR MIDWESTERN Faggots!!! I havent laid a 3 tab shingle since ‘99!!!!!!!! I hope these clowns dont get any gale force winds around there cause they would be fucked. I hurricane nail every roof!!!!!! A miniumum of 6 to 7 nails a shingle this clown using 3 thinkin he is flyin what an *** clown!!

  4. the first shingle he lays, he puts an extra nail near the waterline. i hope they dont give long enough warranty or they are f***ed

  5. Agreed lol, not to mention u know when ur fast when u can run the ends in also in a decent time. This is the easy part esp when u have someone layin the shingle out ahead of time for u.

  6. uh guys let me explain that nails in the keys will not work and just to let yall know i put on 5-6 sq per hour and i wouldnt be afraid to let the inspector lift up each individual shingle and check the nails

  7. no safety no tie off LOL

  8. he’ll have nails showing everywhere….the manufacter would be proud

  9. YOU DO NOT, YOU FUCKER

  10. I hear uncle Bill is hiring.

  11. What is this the no hatchet roofing crew?I don’t see a hammer/hatchet anywhere.I love it though because i get to come back and fix it.

  12. I challenge u, I lay two bundles in 5 mins strait!!

  13. agreed 100%

  14. agreed 100%

  15. chuck ! i been roofing 30 years and i can still put on 20 sq a day. in my prime i was good for 25 to 30 sq a day . the guy is a sloppy nailer look at him i watched him nail in the key line . WRONG i bet i would have to re pound half his nails cause he aint even sinking them all into the deck. Hes fast granted but sloppy as hell . no your role be for you talk about roofing and by the way chuk i can still hand nail 40 bundles a day with out a gun old school pal well be for your time .

  16. Knee pads are OK but the cushion is much better, especially on hot days. No shingle marking and it’s easier on your legs/back. I’m a “older” roofer (40+) so it works best for me. Knee pads and mouth wash are for the wife :D JK of course; or am I? LOL

  17. shinglers basic tools use knee pads aka money makers you will get a riase faster 2 lol jk

  18. Shingler’s trick, use a couch cushion! (take the cover off, foam only) They’ll hold you to the roof like super glue.

  19. man, i just started a roof in niagara falls, and i thought i could do it without planks, until the rain came and i fell right on my sorry ass

  20. yeah you’re right, i guess those blades are kinda meant for that ehh….my bad

  21. we see bad winters thats it out here, in the maritimes every tab has to be tared down because of the salt content in the air and the high winds that come from the ocean. same as most of B.C. but they dont tar there tabs, they mostly install cedar or interlocking shingles.

  22. There’s a tar strip in the middle of the shingle that seals the tabs to each other. Of course in real high wind (100KM/h +) the tabs will lift unless secured by a bead of caulking. In high wind areas, most shinglers will go to 6 nails/shingle plus caulking on the tabs.

  23. As any roofer would know, he’s slightly lifting up the blade as he cuts. No undercutting going on.

  24. what stops that stuff from flaping in the wind ?
    is it rubber ?
    Gaz. Aussie metal roofer

  25. This really bothers me for some fucking reason, anybody can lay bricks. ****!
