Use standard 30 yr shingles and tear off one layer of roofing(Original roof on a 2 story house that is 13 years old). Lay new tar paper etc. Medium pitch house that roof is walkable.

  1. I’d say close to $100/sq to tear off and another 100 to put back on.

  2. IN SE, TX IT IS $30-40 PER SQ. FOR TEAROFF.
    $25-35 TO INSTALL.
MATERIALS ARE $75-90 PER SQ., TURNKEY, SHINGLES PAPER UNDERLAYMENT, DRIP METAL, RIDGE VENTS AND NEW VENT PIPE JACKS
THANK YOU FOR TEARING OFF THE OLD ROOF, THE ONLY WAY TO GO.
GET AT LEAST 3 BIDS, CHECK REFERENCES AND PREVIOUS WORK DONE.
    CHECK YOUR LOCAL BBB.
MIGHT TRY YOUR LOCAL ROOFING SUPPLY CO. FOR ROOFERS.
    GOOD LUCK

  3. St Louis? I am from Texas. We pay Hose A and Hose B a sum of two tacos an hour to lay roofs here in Texas. The shingles themselves can be at no cost because to beaners steal them from new construction job sites.
