Repair Your Xbox Without the Towel Trick
Do not do the try the “Towel Trick”! It is a waste of your time! People say you can fix your Xbox by wrapping it in a towel. This makes it work for a few minutes but after that you are Screwed. Xbox’s motherboard is fried and you could have a permanently melted motherboard. This is not something you want to try to fix your Xbox. The best thing you can do is find a fix that you can do yourself but that actually works!
I spoke with Microsoft (after waiting on the phone forever). They didnt tell me what was wrong with it. All they said was that the issue was no longer covered under my warranty. So what choice did I have, or do you have if you are in the same boat? You have to pay someone to fix it or repair your Xbox yourself. I looked up Xbox repairs online and found it would cost anywhere from $89.00-$189.00 to have a 3rd party look at it. I decided I could do the repair myself and save the money on the labor and shipping.
I looked for a repair online. I will admit I was skeptical; I didnt want to get scammed. I found an Xbox Repair guide hesitated, but the guy on the site, seemed normal and he offered a refund no matter what so I figured what the hell. It was cheap and I could get my money back. I downloaded the guide he had. Luckily for me he had written guide as well as videos, so it was pretty much idiot proof. The directions were easy and he told me exactly what was wrong so I knew my objective and why I was doing what he asked.
After the repair, I held my breathAfter ten seconds, BAM all green lights! No more 2 red light error and no more 3 red light error, it was fixed. I couldnt believe it at first but there it was all green lights. Check out the repair guide and save yourself lots of money and the frustration.
