Tell him you don&#039;t want a hard estimate, just a ballpark figure per square, just so you have an idea of what to bid, (That way he doesn&#039;t have to come in person to give an estimate.), and implying that you will get him to do the work if you get the job. That should give you an accurate price range.
 I know it&#039;s a little underhanded, but it&#039;s an old trick we all have used at one time or another.</description>
