Price ranges vary depending on where you are, and exactly what type of panels you are using.
Call a steel roofing contractor in your area, tell him you are a remodeling contractor and you are putting in a bid on a project that includes 17sq of whatever. Tell him you don’t want a hard estimate, just a ballpark figure per square, just so you have an idea of what to bid, (That way he doesn’t have to come in person to give an estimate.), and implying that you will get him to do the work if you get the job. That should give you an accurate price range.
I know it’s a little underhanded, but it’s an old trick we all have used at one time or another.
